Background
Kathelijne Winderickx has spent her career on the governance side of the same industry. She was Legal Director for Belgacom’s consumer business, then the executive responsible for human resources, legal, regulatory affairs and internal communication across the BICS group — including TeleSign, the US digital identity business, from its acquisition in 2017.
At Proximus she led international corporate affairs across some sixty affiliates in Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa, after running the group-wide efficiency programme that preceded it. She was General Counsel and Corporate Director for bpost’s Belgium–Netherlands last-mile business through 2025, and has sat on boards in fibre infrastructure, cloud communications and welfare.

Legal lead and corporate director for the Belgium–Netherlands last-mile business of Belgium’s listed postal and logistics operator, through its shift from mail to parcel-led e-commerce logistics.
- Reinforced and stabilised the legal team, and clarified its ownership of the procurement process.
- Built proactive alignment between legal, operations and transformation, streamlining contracting and risk to support commercial agility.
2022 – 2024
International Corporate Affairs Lead, Proximus
Legal, regulatory, data governance, corporate audit, CSR and communication across roughly sixty international affiliates in Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa.
- The Route Mobile transaction and post-close readiness, including the synergies with TeleSign and BICS.
- Carve-out of the domestic B2B IT business.
- Re-negotiation of the strategic fibre shareholders’ agreement for Flanders.

- Drove a corporate-wide efficiency programme across the domestic and Benelux entities, translating savings targets into initiatives with committed owners.

The people, legal and communication functions of a global carrier with revenue above €1.3bn and some 1,300 staff.
- Turned the HR function into an instrument of company strategy rather than a service desk beside it.
- The 2017 acquisition of TeleSign, and its integration: 425 people across the US west coast and Belgrade, held together through a difficult US talent market.
- Governed the data-analytics relationship between TeleSign and the wider group inside the applicable privacy regime.
